What is Certified Nurse Aide training?
The Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) program is an intensive training program designed to prepare individuals for entry-level employment in the healthcare field as nurse aides. The program provides comprehensive instruction in basic patient care skills, equipping students with the knowledge and abilities required to assist patients/residents in hospitals, nursing homes, and other healthcare settings. Upon successful completion of the program (NURS 1110/L Nurse Aide/Clinical courses) students will meet federal certification standards for nurse aides and be eligible to sit for the New Mexico Nurse Aide certification exams.
